Joshua Williams | Assistant Corps Director

Hello

I’m Joshua, Assistant Corps Director

Joshua Williams is a Southern California native who has been in the marching arts activity since the mid-90s. He started his Marching music career with South Pasadena High School, hauling around the sousaphone.

During the spring of 2000, he joined the Ranks of the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps, where he marched two seasons, aging out in 2002. During those years, Josh enjoyed the Collegiate Band experience with Pasadena City College, Lancer Band, and the University of Southern California, Trojan Marching Band. After stepping aside for a much-needed break, he began instructing for multiple High School Marching Bands and Instructing as Contra Technician for Gold Drum and Bugle Corps from 2009 to 2014. Josh then decided to try his hands at the Brass Caption Head position with Impulse Drum and Bugle Corps from 2015 to 2017, all while Founding and Directing the Pep Band for the University of La Verne. Now, back with Impulse, he has taken on a more significant role as Assistant Corps Director and looks forward to being a part of this drum corps family, once again.

icon About

Instrumental Music, most notably drum corps, has offered me the opportunity to travel the country and visit 46 states, of the United States, including Hawaii. One of my life goals is to perform in at least one Tuba Christmas event in every state where it is being offered, allowing me to visit Alaska, Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire.
