Impulse Institute is actively accepting new student participants who are interested in improving their performance skills, developing leadership capabilities, and gaining both group and individual instruction in their specific discipline. Each monthly educational courses are available for brass players, woodwind players, percussionists, and conductors.

Wilker AugustoBrass Tech
José Wilker, born in João Pessoa/Brazil, began his musical life playing in marching bands in the state of Paraíba. Soon after start he was sent to UFPB (Federal University of Paraiba) to take music lessons and finished his Bachelor of Music in French horn Performance receiving the prestigious Laurel of Academic Excellence.
José Wilker has performed and studied in national and international music festivals as a French horn player and also as a Conductor with many teachers from Brazil and around the world including: Sandoval Moreno (Brazil), Stanley F.
Dalia BermanConcert Percussion / Front Ensemble
Dalia Berman has been teaching ages 4-22 throughout California since 2008. You can find her sharing her musical passion with middle school and high school concert and marching programs, world class DCI/WGI ensembles, and programs for children with disabilities. She also performs with the 300th Army Band as a percussionist for their chamber winds ensemble, concert band, ceremonial band, and drummer in their ska band. Dalia earned her Masters of Fine Arts degree from California Institute of the Arts where she specialized in world percussion and received her Bachelors of Music degree from California State University, Northridge specializing in orchestral percussion.
ERIC VILLALOBOSBrass Tech
Born and raised in Whittier, California, Eric Villalobos is a music educator, an active professional musician, and an Army musician in the Southern California area. His performances have taken him around the United States, Germany, Kyrgyzstan, and Afghanistan.
Mr. “V” is the Band Director at Valley Christian High School. In this role he works with the Wind Ensemble, the Defender Band, and Bourbon Street Jazz Ensemble. Eric is on Brass staff for Impulse Drum and Bugle Corps and the Troopers Alumni Corps. Prior to joining Valley Christian High School, Eric joined the staff at Riverside Community College and serves as tuba instructor to the world famous Marching Tigers.
Colin WardWoodwind Tech
Colin Ward is a born and raised SoCal saxophonist and teacher. He has performed in groups like the BCCM Wind Symphony, La Mirada Symphony, Symphonic Winds of the Pacific, James Bangar Big Band, and CSULB University Saxophone Quartet.
He currently helps teaching at Graves Middle School and California High School as well as running a small private studio.Colin is currently in his 5thyear as an undergrad at California State University, Long Beach where he studies Saxophone Performance under James Barrera.
He has also studied with Edmund and Julian Velasco. He inspires to become a future performer and educator.

Aaron holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education and a Masters of Music in Instrumental Conducting. He is the current Director of Instrumental Music at Orange Lutheran High School in Orange County.
He has worked with various youth groups in both the private and public sectors over the past 14 years, and has conducted or coached a wide variety of ensembles including wind ensembles, symphonic bands, symphony orchestras, handbell choirs, drum and bugle corps and marching bands.
He has also performed across the United States, as well as other many countries worldwide.
